• Notes

  John Sanderson was a representative from Watertown in 1711 and 1712 and was a housewright. In Leicester he lived in the northwest part of the town and was selectman from 1732 to 1740. John was the principal assistant to Benjamin Wellington, builder of the first meeting house in the West Precinct (Waltham). John was precinct clerk for two years and was active in town affairs. In 1728, he sold his Waltham homestead of 25 acres and bought 227 acres in the Worcester County town of Leicester for 50 pounds less than he had received for his 35 acres. [1]
