      Jane was born in Holme-on-Spaulding Moor, a village in Yorkshire. Her father died when she was little and her mother, Constance Brigham Crosby sailed with her three remaining children, from Hull, England to Salem, Massachusetts. They were part of the group led by Rev. Ezekiel Rogers who traveled on the ship "John of London" in the summer of 1638. [1]
