      William Bradford was a chief military man of the Colony. In King Philip's War, he was commander in chief of the Plymouth forces. At the Narraganset Fort fight he received a musket ball. In the war with the Indians, he held the rank of Major, and was Assistant Treasurer and Deputy Governor of Plymouth from 1682 to 1686 and from 1689 to 1691. [1]
