  • Notes
    • He served in the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War.
Enoch Craig & his family were some of the first settlers in Sandy River Lower Township, Lincoln County, Maine. In 1793 the town name was changed to Farmington. In 1794-95 he was one of the three selectmen in the town, and later served as town treasurer from 1818-20. In 1802 he was one of the first proprietors of the new meeting house, "The First Meeting-House Society in the Center of Farmington," and helped enable the construction of this meeting house with his subscription and financial support. In 1811 Enoch Craig supported the founding of Farmington Academy by signing a financial contract as one of its sixty subscribers, enabling the Academy to be constructed and to open in 1812. [2]
