      Reuben A Sutton died at his home near here at 6:20 pm on Fri 9/2/1904 after an illness starting from grip last Jan. He was 66 yrs old and was a s/o Franklin & Lydia (Abrams) Sutton both deceased. He was married to Eliza Kennison who survives him with 8 living children: William E, Sarah Ann (Wilson), Albert Franklin, Absalom, Minerva (Gaskill), Maggie (Gaskin), Thomas A & Jesse J Sutton. Nancy is deceased. He served in the Union Army 3 yrs and was a member of the Smithfield Post GAR. Funeral on Sunday at 1 pm, services at the house, conducted by Rev A H Martin, intement at Smithfields.
