    In the Name of God Amen. I Nathaniel Ayers of the County of Halifax and Colony of Virginia do make and appoint this my last Will and Testament prohibiting all other Wills or Testaments before the date hereof and First I do Recommend my Soul to God who Gave it and my Body to the Dust to be burried in decent & Christain Order, and for my Worldly Estate to be in the following Manner at my Decease. I do Will that all my moveables and Lands that I have Shall be Sold for Money and I do Dispose of it as Followeth among my Children to my Eldest Son Thomas Ayers I give forty pounds in Lue of all my Lands that he may inherit none of my Land and to my Son Moses Ayers I give Forty pounds which I own my self Justly indebted to him, and to my beloved Wife Rhody Ayers a Third part of all the Rest of my Estate and what shall Remain Over and above her Thirds I do dispose of as followeth and first I Give and bequeath to Patience Jones my Grand Daughter five pounds and also I Give and bequeath to Mary Ayres the Daughter of Moses Ayres Ten pounds and also I give and bequeath to my Son Rogimalich Baker Ayres Twenty five pounds and the rest of my Estate to be Divided in Ten Equal parts and I Give to Moses Ayres two parts and also to my Son Daniel Ayres two parts more out of the Ten parts and the Six parts that Still Remain shall equally be divided between my Daughter Yanake Payne and my Son Regimalich Baker Ayres and Thomas Ayres my Eldest Son and my two sons Thomas Ayres and Moses Ayres Whom I appoint Ex'ors of this my Will in Trust to make to my Son Daniel Ayres a Good and Lawful Rite at my Death to a Certain piece of Land Containing Eighty & Six acres and an half Lying as followeth above the upper Double Creek Joining and Runing with Spurlocks line and to be Divided from the Rest of my Land by a Line Runing the Same Course of Spurlocks line that I Join, Which Land I have Given to him in Satisfaction for a plantation which he hath made for me and for the performance of the Rite of the said Land I have Given my Son Daniel Ayres a Bond of five Hundred pounds penalty and I desire that the Executors above mentioned do se that this my Last Will and Testament be done and performed according to the True intent and Meaning thereof In Witness whereof I the said Nathaniel Ayers have Set my hand & Seal to this my Last Will and Testament this Third Day of September in the year of our Lord God 1776

    At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 22d Day of May 1777 The Within Last Will and Testament of Nathaniel Ayres Deceased was Exhibited into Court by the Ex'ors therein named and proved by the Oaths of two of the Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be Recorded and on the Motion of the said Ex'ors who made Oath according to Law Certificate is Granted them for Obtaining a probate thereof in due form of Law. Giving Security Whereupon they Together with David Terry and William Lynch their Securitys entered into Bond and acknowledged the same according to Law.

      * Ayerses Lott - 100 acres, 26 Sep 1729. Sold to Jacob Bull on 8 Mar 1731.
      * Ayers Desire – 28 acres, 23 July 1736. Sold to Charles Ridgeley on 25 Oct 1746.
      * Nathaniel's Hope – 15 acres, 28 Sep 1745. Sold to Charles Ridgeley on 25 Oct 1746.
      * Buck Range – 45 acres, 18 Oct 1745. No longer owned after 1754.
      He purchased:
      * Browns Lott – 100 acres granted to Benjamin Jones on 19 Feb 1732. Sold to Nathaniel Ayers on 10 Nov 1732. Nathaniel sold to Roland Vine on 27 Mar 1735.Nathaniel
       
      On 16 Dec 1758, Nathaniel Ayres was accepted as a member of the Quakers.
