    • He was a graduate of the academy at Belfast, Maine. He was a farmer, a school teacher, and a literary man of considerable note. He served as a musician in the War of 1812. In the 1850 census record for Brownville, he was listed as Isaac L. Tibbetts, a farmer with real estate worth $1200. The rest of the family names proved it waas Jessie L. In October 25, 1835, Jessie was a Justice of the Peace in New Sharon and performed marriages, New Sharon town records. Therefore, the move was between 1835 and 1840.
