  Levi was on the Lexington Alarm and says he rode 200 miles spreading the alarm. In May of 1775 he signed up for 8 months and in the spring of 1776 he enlisted for 6 more. He was 11 months a Pvt and for three months he was a sargeant. His file number for pension applications is W24911 which includes Mary's application for benefits after his death. He appears in the 1840 census in Alstead, NH with Abel Hopkins. If Mary was also there is not stated. When he applied for his pension he was of Alstead and he received $51.66 per annum starting 4 March, 1831. Mary appled as a widow but the records of another Levi Pratt of Bridgewater effectively blocked her pension until Feb.6, 1849 when a request was made to secure her pension. That letter is the last letter in the file. She apparently did not die in 1844 as stated in the Pratt Directory Lovelace) and Alstead does not have her listed in being in any cemetery in town. When she applied she was of Fitzwilliam, NH but her death and burial records have not been found. She was 90 at the time of her application and statements were taken at her house because she was too frail to travel.
