      1939
      Clarence Meade Orcutt s/o J.D. and Hannah
      Orcutt was born on a farm nearPlainfield October 5,
      1865, and died at his home inPlainfield last Sunday,
      May 28, at the age of 73 years, 7months and 23 days.
      He was the fifth child of a family ofeleven children.
      On June 2, 1902, he was unitedin marriage with
      Mayme Krieger. To this union wereborn two children,
      Kenneth and Helen. At the time of themarriage they
      moved into the residence where hemade his home
      until the day of his death. Forseveral years prior to
      his marriage he operated a restaurantin Plainfield.
      After selling the restaurant hebegan work for J.
      Roach, Inc. as livestock buyer, aposition which he
      held for over forty years. He wasalso assessor for
      the town of Plainfield for more thanthirty years.
      His wife preceded him in death onJanuary 3, 1938.
      Two sisters and two brothers alsopreceded him in
      death.
      He leaves to mourn his departurethe two children,
      Kenneth of Plainfield and Mrs.Russell Meyers of
      Green; four brothers and two sistersWilliam of Nashua,
      Sanford, Arthur and Mrs. Clara Smullof Plainfield. Mrs.
      Ada Boggs of Waterloo and Charles ofLong Beach
      Calif. There are also twogranchildren Marlene and
      Marccle Meyers.
