      A Sad Bereavement
It is with the deepest sorrow and sympathy that we publish in our first issue the "obituary" of one of our citizens, a beloved wife and mother, who was called prematurely to her long home on Friday, April 17, after a sickness of some weeks.

      OBITUARY

Betsey M. Orcutt-Robinson was born in Bremer, Iowa, June 29th, 1863, and was married to William Robinson, October 11, 1885. She lived with her husband 11 years and departed from this life Friday, April 17, 1896, aged 32 years, 9 months and 17 days. Mrs. Robinson was the beloved wife of Wm. Robinson our liveryman, and leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss. She has many relatives living in this vicinity and was known and loved by all. Although she was know to be very ill, her death was a very great shock to all. She has given birth to five children, three of whom survive her and the other two had preceded her to her home in Glory. The funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church on Saturday afternoon, Rev. S. W. Joy delivering the sermon from that well known text in Isaah 38-1, " Set thine house in order for thou shall die." A large concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains to the cemetery to pay their last tribute of love and respect to the departed. The kindest sympathy of the Bell is extended to the sorrowing family.
