    • From newspaper clipping of death: Pres. Lena Bank, Stephenson County.Died 3:30 am. Death caused by Septasimia. Was buyer & shipper of stockat Lena. Died still owning homestead farm. Recognized as largest cattleshipper. Took over S. Rising Bank at Lena & changed name to Lena Bank.
      Members of Methodist Episcopal Church. Republican. Two children - Mrs.W. H. Foll of Freeport, Ill. & Mrs. Eldora Newell of Lena. Brother MiltonLatham of Alexander, Mrs. W. E. Bowker, Eva Latham of Chicago.

      From Nora Township history: Farmer; Sec. 33; PO Howardsville; born in Wadhams Grove, Jo Daviess,, Ill.. Mr. Latham with the exception of one year's residence in Stephenson,, has continously resided inWadhams Grove and Nora Township. He is the possessor of 80 acres of land; his father was an old settler of this, coming here in 1838 from Vt.
