  He settled after 1750 in ??ping, where he inherited a mill and lands. He was a shipwright, a miller, and a millwright. He built many mills in the new towns of New Hampshire. He adopted the doctrines of the Quakers, and became a public speaker in the society. He was an ingenious mechanic, and a man of much energy, highly respected in the community. He had 7 ch.
