Historical Notes This Isaac married Hannah Hyatt somewhere ca 1834/5 and had three children. This family is relatively simple to trace, as Serena is the only child who marries. Wife Hannah, son William and daughter Sarah can be found in census with Isaac until 1880. They remain together in 1900, after Isaac's death in 1885. After Hannah's death in 1904, William and Sarah share a household in 1910. Both these children died unmarried in 1912 and 1917, respectively.

  • Notes
    • He was a member after 1831 in Great Bethel Baptist Church, Uniontown, Fayette Co, Pennsylvania. He attended a subscription school in his neighborhood. After leaving school, he turned his attention to the study of the Ministry. The Rev. William Brownfield, a noted preacher of his day aided him. He was licensed to preach on 6 July 1833, and continued to preach for over fifty years. The minutes of Great Bethel show that "Brother Wynn" served the congregation as their pastor numerous times. On 3 May 1834 he was procured to preach once a month. 22 Dec 1838, he was called to supply the place of Rev. John Thomas, and continued until 1841. He was called again as a supply on 29 Oct 1842, but afterwards was retained as a pastor preaching half the time until 1 Apr 1854. From that time until 24 Jun 1855, he was kept as a supply pastor. He was a founder on 16 Nov 1841 in the First Baptist Church, Brownsville, Fayette Co, Pennsylvania. He was founder of the first Missionary Society in 1842 in Fayette Co, Pennsylvania. On 28 Jun 1845, he offered a resolution which was agreed to:
"Resolved that a Sabbath School be opened in this church to commence on the second Sunday of July next." The record at the time for the July meeting for business showed they did not hold services because of the extreme heat. However, the minutes dated 23 Aug state that the Sunday School attendance was from 80 to 100 and was doing very well. He was Pastor before 31 Mar 1860 in Little Kentucky Baptist Church, Stewart Township, Fayette Co, Pennsylvania. He died on 28 Oct 1885 in Georges Township, Fayette Co, Pennsylvania.
He died in the house where he was born, having lived most of his life at the same house. He was buried after 28 Oct 1885 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette Co, Pennsylvania.
He was described as "a self-made man and much beloved by all who had his acquaintance".
