  • Notes
    • John Parrott arrived in Annapolis, Maryland in 1736 as an "Emigrant in Bondage" from Newgate Prison, England.  The story, according to Timothy Parrott, who has written a Parrott Family History, goes that John Parrott had stolen two shirts in England, the Goods of William Wilson; and the Goods of John Clark, therefore, was sent to American colonies to serve 14 years as an indentured servant.  We believe that he was indentured to either Francis Shepherd (Sheepherd), or his stepfather, Thmas Chapmen, as John Parrott married Francis Sheephers's sister, Naomi, in 1751.
