  • Notes
    • Edmund Faulkner and Dorothy Raymond Robinson were married 4 February 1657/58 [sic], by John Winthrop, in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts. This was the first marriage on record of an Andover citizen." [NOTE: Lamson gives the incorrect marriage year; it should be 1646/47 or 1647/48].
He emigrated from England, and was one of the founders of the church in Andover, in 1645. Edmund served as the Constable. On 03 January 1675/76, he was chosen Selectman and Common Clark for the next ensuing year. His house was burnt by the Indians, in 1676. On 03 March 1678/79, Mr. Edmund ffaulkner was granted "two acres of land adjoyning to his land which is called his new ground which is for ten shillings in money lent to the town." He was also granted "six acres of land adjoining his land behind ye pond which land is in consideration of his loss sustained by ye Indians."

During King Philip’s War his house was burned (on Apr 19 1676) and all his cattle were killed. [2]
