• Notes

  In 1723, after going through long hardships, being taken prisoner by the Indians, and having numerous adventures, John and his wife Hannah and their family located in the Scottish settlement of Londonderry, New Hampshire. His occupation was a stonemason, and he built a stone house for himself on 60 acres in that part of the town which is now known as Windham. [2]
