Will Notes | John Lamson made his will June 23, 1712, witnessed by Samuel Appleton, John Lamson (3) Jr., and William Lamson (3), and this will was proved June 17, 1717. It was signed by X mark. By this will his wife Martha was to have the income of one-third of the real estate, notwithstanding he had deeded it all to his sons. She, with sons Thomas and Samuel, to be executors. He mentions sons John, William, Thomas and Samuel, and daughters Phebe (who had married Theophilus Fisk and they gave their receipt for their portion Dec. 4, 1713), Martha (who had married Benj. Bigsby or Bixby and their receipt was dated Dec. 1, 1713), and Sarah Lamson (who had married Paul Faulkner of Andover, Mass., before Jan. 18, 1714/5, when they gave a receipt for their legacy in the will). | |
