    • John Wilson Mimms left his home in Russellville, Logan County, Kentucky prior to the Civil War, and moved to Missouri, where he ran a boarding house. His wife was the paternal aunt of Jesse James, the robber. John's daughter was Jesse's cousin, and they married and had a family. Jesse's family was also from Russellville, Logan Co KY. Jesse's parents had also left Logan Co KY prior to the war to settle in Missouri.
