  Dr Aitchison of U of C dies Rites Thursday Funderal services for Dr. J. Y. Aitchison, assistant to President Max Mason of the University of Chicago, who dropped dead yesterday a few blocks from his home at 5524 Kimbark Ave, will he he’d at the Huda Park Baptist church at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Charles W. Gilkey will conduct the services, assisted by university officials. Dr Aitchison, who was 65 years old, for man-years handled the missionary funds of the Baptist churches in American and at one time was general director of the board of promotion of the Northern Baptist church convention. He can to the University Chicago in 1824 to hep in the campaign to raise a $17,500,000 endowment and maintenance fund. Born in Dubuque, IA, and educated at Des Moines university and the University of Chicago, Dr.. Aitchison took his first pastorate at Wasco, IL. He is survived by a widow, Estelle; a sone, John B; two sisters, Mrs Ruth Welch, Tarrytown, NY, and Mrs Lydia Knapp; and two brothers, A. W. Aitchison, Cascade, IA, and W. C.
