    • Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1890 with a B.S. inmechanical engineering. According to "History of Des Moines and PolkCounty", the Griffiths were living in Washington DC as of 1911. Hispassport application shows him residing in Philadelphia as of 1920.
