    ESTATE OF FRANCIS PARROT OF ROWLEY

    I Francis Parrat of Rowley intending to take a Journey to England desire as sensible of the frailty of this mortall life to set my house in order & doe therfore constitute and appoin this as my last will and testament in maner & forme as followeth. Imps I give & bequeath my soule to God that gave it & my body to be interred as the wise hand of God sees meete whether by sea or land in comfortable hopes of a happy resurrection at that day. Item my will is that my debts be first payd Item I give to my Loveing wife Elizabeth Parrat one hundred pounds to take it wher shee pleases in land goods & Cattle I also give to her my house and house lott for her life and after her death my will is that it shall be equally divided amonge my Children. Item the rest of my lands goods & Chattles I give to my Six daughters to be equally divided amongst them and each of them to have their equall share paid unto them at the age of twenty one yeares or the day of their mariage wch shall first be And I constitute my wife as my sole executrix of this my last will and Testament And I appoint my Loveing brethren Maxmilian Jewet & Ezekiell Northend as overseers of this my last will and testament in witnes hereof I have hereunto set my hand this 18th day of November 1655.

There were a few things of uncertain value, as a hogshead of sugar, his wearing clothes, something in England and 22s. forgotten, for which there was as much debt forgotten. His debts amounted to 63 li. 9s. 5d.
