    • EDUCATION: graduated fom high school 1874. Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri 1878. Degree of Mining Engineer. (Pg.332)
      OCCUPATION: engineer in Pilot Knob, Missouri.
      1881 worked for Great Northern Railroad Co. as traveling engineer and draftsman.
      1883 worked for Burlington Railway from Minneapolis to Chicago.
      1886 went to Denver, Colorado to locate a railway line from Denver to Salt Lake City, Utah.
      1889 went to Uruguay, South America to work on the location and construction of a railway line from Montevideo to Buenos Aires for the government of Uruguay.
      Returned to the U.S. 1891 and established an office in the gold mining district of Cripple Creek, Colorado. (Countryman Genealogy pg.332)
