    • He lived in Newbury, Vermont (where his seven eldest
      children were born), on the farm known as the Hale farm south of Wells
      River until about 1837. He purchased what was known as the Ira Brownfarm
      in the northeast part of Haverhill in district no. 10, where heresided
      till his death.

      Isaac was in the War of 1812 He served for 60 days or more in Capt.Jhn
      Bassett's Co. of the 3rd Regiment of Detached Militia, which was
      stationed at Portsmouth, New Hampshire in the Fall of 1814; creditedto
      Bath.
