    • Pauline Sutton was born on September 24, 1836, in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. She married Samuel S. Johnston and they had four sons and four daughters together between 1855 and 1866. She then married John Jones Thomas on May 15, 1887, in Gallatin County, Montana. She died on November 7, 1916, in Montana, at the age of 80.
