  Richard had severed connections with the hospital a year ago (a management dispute). He discovered early this year that he would have to have open heart surgery after leaving all the disability benefits at the hospital. He chose to commit suicide rather than be a burden to his family. This was August 13th. He leaves a wife, Josie, a 20 year old daughter Kathy, who is married, Jimmie, age 19, Joey age 16, and Susan, age 12.
