    • Obituary Holton Recorder April 5, 1978, Holton, Kansas;
      Marion Edward [Ed] Johnson, 96, Holton. died Wednesday in a hospital where he was admitted Tuesday. He had been in Holton nursing home since October. He was born November 7, 1881, at Soldier and spent his life in Jackson County. He lived in Holton since 1843. Mr. Johnson was a member of First United Methodist Church at Holton. A daughter, Phylis Johnson died in 1922. A son, Ross Edward Johnson died in 1972 and another daughter, Mrs. Vada Decker, died February. 12, 1978.
      Survivors include a son, Willis K. Johnson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; A brother, Todd Johnson, Topeka; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 P.M. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home at Holton. Burial will be in Soldier Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Heart Association and sent in care of Denison State Bank at Holton.
