      Marvin Anthony Bruno, 92, of Boise, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at the Idaho State Veterans Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. Burial will follow at Morris Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may view Wednesday from noon until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Marvin was born March 21, 1909, in Kuna, to Fannie Louisa and Robert Dan Bruno. He was the last child in a family of seven children. He attended school in Kunaand, Boise. He enlisted in the service in 1943, serving in the U.S. Air Force until Aug. 31, 1965, and in the reserves until Feb. 29, 1972. He traveled to nearly every country in the world; the only one he missed was Australia. Marvin received the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. He worked for Boeing for 10 years and lived in Everett, WA until 1989. He then returned to Idaho where he lived in Horseshoe Bend and Boise. Marve was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and also acted as an Army chaplain in the early years of World War II. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruno; two brothers, Lee and Chet Bruno; and four sisters, Fannie Fackrell, Audrey Fackrell, Florence Pruett and Phoebe Roark. He was never married, but had many nieces and nephews whom he enjoyed and was known affectionately as Uncle Marve.
