  d/o Noah RIPLEY (1721–1778) & Lydia KENT (1725—1816) On May 3, 1820 at Barre, Mass., Abigail m. as his 3rd wife, her widowed brother-in-law, Samuel Leonard, whose 1st wife was Abigail's 17 year older sister, Silence Ripley, who d. in 1793. Samuel Leonard d. Apr. 8, 1841 at Canton, NY while a resident of his son Samuel's household. There were no children of this 2nd marriage and census data suggests that after 1830 Abigail and Samuel were not living together as husband and wife. In the 1840 census of Pomfret, Conn. Abigail and her three unmarried daus. Mary, Martha and Sarah appear to have been residing as members of the two households of Abigail's two married daus. Lucretia and Syrena. In 1850 Abigail and her unmarried dau. Sarah were residing at Pomfret in the household of Abigail's dau. Syrena (Robinson) Sharpe.
