    • The John Jepson family of England migrated to Boston Mass about the year 1638. He was a puritan and a cordwainer (leather worker) by trade.
      Four generations later, Joel Jepson, born in 1796 (a son of Samuel Jepson who had moved to Vermont) came to Rossie, where he made his home on a farm about a mile from Rossie on Oxbow road. [3]
