      EDNA V.CARPENTER
      APRIL19, 1976
      Services for Edna V.Carpenter, 63, of Waterloo were held at 10 a.m. Monday atKearns-Dykeman Chapel there with burial in Willow Lawn Cemetery in Plainfield. Mrs. Carpenter died at St. Francis Hospital early Friday evening of an apparent heart attack.
      Mrs. Carpenter was born on August 17, 1912, in Plainfield, the daughter of William B. and Louise Turner Orcutt.
      She married Glenn R. Carpenter on June 5, 1938, at the Little Brown Church near Nashua. They were later divorced. She was self-employed and did light housekeeping.
      She is survived by a daughter,Mr. Melvin Stabenow of 559 Pioneer Rd., a brother Ben Orcutt of Cedar Rapids, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Watkins of Phoenix, Az.
