• Notes

  He received his education in the schools of Athol, Massachusetts. He became a farmer, purchasing a farm in Oakham, on which he passed the remainder of his life. He was chosen a representative to the general court of Massachusetts, and in his own township was an overseer of the poor. He was a member of the Baptist Church, serving on the parish committee. His wife was Lydia, daughter of Cephas and Lydia (Cushman) Bumpus, of Plympton, Plymouth, MAachusetts.
