    Obituary Death of Stillman S. Butler.
    Died in Franklin Saturday, June 9th, Stillman S. Butler, aged seventy-nine years, nine months and five days.
    The deceased was born in Franklin Sept. 4, 1814. He married Charlotte Orcutt of Franklin, who, with six daughters and one son and one brother survive him, all living in Franklin except Mrs King and Mrs Ketchen, who live in Billerica, Mass.
    Mr Butler was a member of the Baptist church, but much regretted his inability to attend church, which was due to an accident received when he was almost twenty-five years old, which left him a cripple as long as he lived. His life was a most exemplary one. always kind, loving, patient and never complaining at his misfortune nor losing faith in his Heavenly Father. Truly a good and respected citizen has gone from our midst.
    The funeral service was held Monday afternoon. Rev. David Smith officiated, choosing for his text the very fitting passage in Timothy: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." The remains were interred in Bay View Cemetery.  [2]
