    • Joined the Grand Army of the Republic ( G.A.R.) at Rockford Maine on June 15, 1861. Was a Pvt in Capt Fullers Company K - Infantry Corp -Regiment 4.He was injured Twice in the Civil War. He was Injured in the Battle of Gettysburg, Pa. (Neck, Right Thigh and Knee.). He was treated at Camden State Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Was given total disability and discharged on 6/15/1864. Belonged to B. H. Beale G.A.R.Post # 12 Bangor Maine. Was a farmer and a grocery clerk.
