• Notes

  His mother Alice Hathaway married Samuel Eaton almost two years after he was born. After he married they removed to Lodi, Where he was in the mercantile business for many years. He built the first three story building in Lodi called Eaton Hall, still standing in1995. His home was next door, he also owned the newspaper in Lodi. He purchased the first cemm. site in Lodi and called it "Mt. Pleasent Cem." He and his family are buried there.
