    • His obituary indicated he lived in Ridge Mills, Oneida County, NY about one year prior to his death where he was a farmer.

      Bessie is not confirmed as the wife of Alva. This Alva was probably born in Michigan and with his wife Bessie were reported living in Sullivan, Madison,, NY in 1900. Bessie was the second wife of this Alva. She was much younger and his former housekeeper.
