  s/o Samuel Lowell (25 Dec 1780-20 Sep 1854) and Sarah Ayer Lord (23 Oct 1786-2 May 1859). Descended from Percival Lowle, from Bristol, England, who immigrated in 1639 with his wife, Rebecca, and sons John and Richard and daughter Joanna, all married. Percival was the eldest s/o Richard Lowle, who married a Percival, and drew his descent through eight generations, by the eldest s/o each, from Walter Lowell, of Yardley, in the county of Worcester.
