    Phebe (Brown), wife of James Cornish died "in childbirth" December 28, 1664, in Northampton, Massachusetts.

    Phoebe Browne (Phebe) was baptized on 1st October 1620 in Rusper, Sussex. She married Thomas Lee. Phoebe & Thomas had three children baptized in Rusper, Sussex (Jane 13/09/1640, Phoebe 20/05/1642 & Thomas 29/09/1644 - but one source says Thomas was actually born in 1639).

    Phoebe emigrated to America with her parents in 1646, but her husband Thomas died on the voyage with smallpox. She married secondly Greenfield Larrabee in about 1647 and had five children (Greenfield 20/04/1648, John 23/02/1650, Elizabeth 23/02/1653, Joseph 03/03/1656, Sarah 03/03/1658). She married thirdly James Cornish in about 1661 and had one child (James), and maybe one still born.

    When she married Greenfield, Phebe was identified as the widow of Thomas Lee and the daughter of William Brown of Ruskin, England, Saybrook, CT, and South Hampton and Hempstead, Long Island.
