Notes: His place of residence during the American Revolution was Conway, NewHampshire, athough both he and his wife, Jane Knox, lived their lastyears in Quebec, Canada, where they died. They were married in Quebec, soit would appear that Jane was living in Quebec, although her family wasfrom Boston, which provides some confusion. They returned to Quebec intheir later years and both died there. Josiah married Jane KNOX in 1780 in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada. 11. | Jane KNOX was born on 26 Nov 1758 in Pembroke, Plymouth, Massachusetts (daughter of William KNOX and Mary CAMPBELL); died on 9 Jun 1817 in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada. Notes: Jane's parents were from Northern Ireland. Her father, William Knox, was a shipmaster, who died at the age of about 50. The family lived in Boston, and was thereafter supported by Jane's older brother, Henry, from the time he was nine years of age. That same brother later became a figure of historical military importance during the Revolutionary War.
