    On 25 July 1270 he had licence to build a stone castle, at Sheffield, and fortify and crenellate it. He was summoned for Military Service from 18 October 1261 to 16 April 1291, and to attend the King at Shrewsbury, 28 June 1283, by writs directed Thome de Furnivall'. The name of his wife is unknown. He died 12 May 1291, and was buried in the Church of the Friars Minors at Doncaster.
