    Isaac, s/o David Sutton, sometimes spelled Sotton, was born 1720-30. He married Rachel, daughter of Benjamin Doty. The three sons, mentioned below, released by quitclaim the lands of their grandfather, Benjamin Doty, to Edward White, in 1784. Jacob, Israel and Samuel all went to Fayette Co, Pennsylvania ( see page 514, "Chamber's Early Germans of New Jersey"). There were probably other children. (Upper Monongahela Valley article)

    In the name of God, Amen. I Isaac Sutton of Union Twp Fayette Co and Commonwealth of PA being weak in body but of sound mind and memory (blessed be God) do this 29th day of Apr Anno Domini 1799 Make and Publih this my last will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) Impremis I give to my son Samuel Sutton 30 acres of land adjoining his other land and the Remainder of my Plantation (It being the same that William Creige now lives on Containing 100 acres more or less) to be equally dividied according to Quantity and Quality between my two Sons Jacob and Samuel to hold the same with its Appurtenances unto them their heirs and assigns forever. I give to my son Isaac my riding horse, and then after my debts are paid all my goods, money, or money due, and wearing apparrel to be equally divided between my 3 sons above named. And I do ordain and appoint my Son Isaac to be my Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament, hereby revoaking (sic) all other Wills by Maine heretofore made. In Witness whereof I the said Isaac Sutton have set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year fortst above written

    Isaac Sutton was the first person licensed to preach in Fayette, PA, at the Church of Jesus Christ at Great Bethel.
    Isaac Sutton has resigned in March, 1790, but was recalled and served one branch and David Loofborrow the other until the two branches united in November of that year. … Isaac Sutton continued to preach part of the time also until 1794, when Rev. Benjamin Stone was called.

    Chambers - “Early Germans of New Jersey”, page 514; "David, whose will, "Bernettown" (Bernards twp.) Som. Co., 1775, Dec. 1, prob. Dec. 19 (Trenton L. 276), mentions wife living (without naming her) and names ch.: (i) Isaac, "eldest," prob. m. Rachel Doty (dau. of Benj.) , and had heirs, who released land of their grandfather Benj. Doty to Ed. White, 1784, viz., 1. Jacob, 2. Israel, 3. Samuel; all went to Fayette Co., PA; (ii) David; (iii) John; (iv) Abraham: (v) James; (vi) Moses; (vii) Sarah; (viii) Elisabeth and her three youngest daughters, Marah, Joanner and Abigail; (ix) Mary, dec.
